Favorite city for skating?
Barcelona's a good time if you're with the right crew. Avoid the hot spots and just roll. New York's up there for that, but you'll be hard pressed to skate as many banger spots like out there in Spain.
Favorite city for not skating?
New York, London, Tokyo and Barcelona. Pretty much, I'm down for large cosmopolitan areas with tons of people that you can watch. Mellow's good too...like when I went up to Portland, OR I had a really good time...I like the vibe up there. Oh yeah! I'm really into Vancouver, BC as well.
Favorite time period in skating?
Late SF days...when Union Square, Brown Marble, and Black Rock were in full effect. Back then, you could cruise downtown and run into other crews of skaters. It hasn't been that way in years. But honestly, as long as we're all skating, any period will work for me.
What’s on the Ipod?
First, let me just say, I'm still running a 3rd generation iPod. Shit's maxed out with thousands of songs. Too many to name, but Sabbath's "Fairies Wear Boots" has been in heavy rotation, along with Pentagram, Magnetic Fields, and a grip of other 90's indie shit.
What takes up your time outside of skateboarding?
My daughter. Hands down, the greatest person around. It's not really a walk in the park raising a kid, but it's amazing in all aspects.
What’s a typical day in the life?
Wake up and get breakfast ready so the whole fam can get their eat on before I take the kid to daycare. Drive over to the Moraga Park and get my early park session on, and when I’m healthy, I hit up Dan Z., Corey Duffel, and Creepy Kyle to get our skate on. Sometimes I’ll head down to San Jose, but it depends on whether or not I have to pick up the kid from daycare at the end of the day. Cook and eat dinner and handle parent stuff before I head off to bed. Things like, Youtube, Myspace, and Facebook. Oh yeah, I can’t forget... iChat!
Pet peeves?
Typos, tardiness, and kids skating skateparks with their headphones/iPods on.
Whatchu thank?
Handle your shit!
Upcoming plans project to look out for?
Well, we got this Fully Flared joint dropping November 16th, slated to be in the stores December 1st...of 2007 guys. Then TMA3 is in the works, so you best be on the look out for that. Plus, I’m looking to get on a Toebock trip in 2008.
